Entity Theatre is run by the board -- a team dedicated to English-language theatre.

Kate Scholes is Entity's chair and head of the board.
Kate, a technical writer from the UK, has been involved in amateur theatre for 20 years, working both on and off stage in numerous productions in England, France and Germany. Kate joined Entity when she moved to Munich in 2013. She co-directed The 39 Steps, was costume designer/manager forA Play on Words, Sleeping Beauty, and The Merry Wives of Windsor, and has led several Entity workshops. Her acting credits in Munich include: Jo in Guy Las’ The Ribbon, for which she received a nomination for the Blackie Award for Best Actress at FEATS 2014; Hilda in Alan Ayckbourn’s Neighbourhood Watch; Nancy in Bryony Lavery’s Frozen. Kate brings her organisational and project management skills to the board.

Tom Hafner is our deputy chair.
Tom, a network architect from Germany, joined Entity in 2013 as the photographer for The Women. He has been involved with almost every production since then. In the theatre, he focuses on visual, sound and technical activities, from taking photos of the cast, crew and on-stage action, designing flyers and programmes and being the ‘sound guy’, to video projection and assisting with operating the lighting. Tom was part of the tech team during FEATS 2014 and 2016. He enjoys the creativity and positive attitude in Entity, and tries to help the productions in all different aspects he can. As member of the board, he will use his organisational and technical skills to assist with productions and behind the scenes activities (website, communication and so on).

Helen Schulz, as the secretary, takes care of Entity's administrative work.
Helen is of Irish and German descent, was born in Munich. She works as a software engineer by day, and tries to support Entity productions by night. Helen joined Entity in spring 2016 and has thrown herself in at the deep end both on and off stage. For The 39 Steps, she discovered her sewing skills and helped to paint the set. She had the opportunity to visit her first FEATS in 2016 as Stage Manager. She also took part in Entity’s summer Shakespeare production of As You Like It¸ and is excited to have her first main role on stage in Aladdin - a Panto. Helen is looking forward to working with her fellow board members and supporting Entity in its future achievements.

Mattias Carlborg is our treasurer and looks after our finances.
Mattias, a process implementation manager from Sweden, moved to Munich in 2012. He had his first experience with Entity as an audience member when he saw A Play on Words in 2013. Hooked, he attended the open workshops shortly afterwards, then became a member in 2014. He's been involved in most productions since. He has acted in The Note, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Merry Wives of Windsor, As You Like It and Aladdin - a Panto. He produced Sleeping Beauty - a Panto and The 39 Steps, and contributed to building the set and props. Mattias brings business and project management experience to the board.

Anne Wollstein is our Girl Friday (member without portfolio).
Anne Wollstein, a junior-school teacher from England, came to Munich in 1973. She has been active in theatre productions since she was 15, when she starred as principal girl in many school musicals. She continued to do this while studying as part of a creative arts group, until the age of 24. After organizing and directing variety shows for 15 years in her neighbourhood here in Munich ,she joined Entity in 2010. Since then, she has acted in, written, composed and directed numerous plays, including all three Entity pantos - Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Aladdin. She also has experience behind the scenes, including making costumes, set and props. She won the Blackie Award for Best Actress at FEATS 2012, for her role as Clara in Matei Visniec’s Three Nights with Madox, and the Pepper Award for Best Play for Sleeping Beauty - a Panto. Anne brings this wealth of all-round experience to the Entity Board as our ‘Member Without Portfolio’, otherwise known as our Girl Friday.
